Just watched my first episode of Desperate Housewives and I can't believe it - but I actually like it. Impossible! Outrageous! Incredible! It's addictive! One episode, one closing phrase, one well rehearsed script and I'm hooked!
Just to recall a conversation I had with a good friend, the closing thought specifically that got me hooked was something that went like this...
"... it is impossible to distinguish between the good and the bad, and yet we persist on doing so... simply because we refuse to believe that compassion and cruelty can exist, side by side, in the same heart."
